Inked People (Back up Documentary)
Idea
The documentary is based around the popularity of tattoos and tattoo artists.
Also why are tattoos so popular now what makes them so popular?
Do they have any significance meaning to the person who is being tattooed or are they just there to look cool.
It will go deeper into the tattoos artists life and how much work they put into the tattoo themselves with a behind the scenes look at the tattooist life and why did they choose tattooing as a profession?
Do they feel they could of done something else other then this?
Is this there dream job?
Furthermore i have a few tattoo artist with some interesting stories with interesting life's that a lot of young people can relate to.
Towards the end i will look at the work of the tattoos and get a short conclusion on what the tattoo artist feels about tattoos themselves and how they think tattoos will change in the future.
Synopsis
The documentary will begin with a voice over provided by my self to explain the structure of the documentary its self.
The documentary will follow three different tattoo artists from two different shops who all previously worked together they will all be asked the same premise of questions and i will go into depth about why did they separate from each other also how has tattoos effected themselves as people.
It will go into depth on how they started out and where they hope to go in the future along with what do they think will happen in the future for them.
Audience
The audience for this would be of no specific age or gender it is set for people who have a common interest in tattoos or the idea of getting a tattoo on there body.
if i had to set an age gate i would say if you are of legal age to get a tattoo then that would be it.
from sixteen onwards would be good enough.
Genre
The genre of this documentary is special interest.
Only those people who have an interest for tattoos should watch this documentary.
For a time slot i would put around eight o-clock just around times that soap operas are ending around this time people are looking for something to watch.
I would stick it on BBC1 or BBC 2.

Documentary Proposal
Idea
The documentary idea is based around the music industry more importantly a specific sort of genre in the music industry the genre known as "Death metal" or "Post-Hardcore".
More importantly the documentary will cover a few bands who work in this specific industry bands that have been provided to me by a small record company which i am thankful for.
The documentary itself will cover important issues in the music industry such as the hard work and stress that goes into making the music that this band makes.
It will show both the bands perspectives along side the fans perspective.
What i mean by this is how does the music make them feel,how does it affect there lives.
Furthermore it will tackle the more harsh realties of being in a band such as touring and living on the road.
Another harsh reality is the biased attitude and stereotypes that the band get due to the sub genre music they adapted to from the original "rock" genre.

The documentary will follow a few bands that have been provided to me by a small record company. along with a band known as "Martyr Defiled" and there current rise to stardom in the "Post-Hardcore" scene at the time i am writing this they are currently in Holland.
The documentary will follow these bands on there journeys through touring and playing gigs.

Target Audience (Martyr Defiled)
In this specific documentary my target audience will be directed towards the fans of this specific music type known as "Hardcore" or similar music.
Screamo is used in a lot of different music type in this generation so along with "Hardcore"audiences who listen to another type of screamo music would also be interested in this documentary.
There is no specific age group as this music is listened to be people of an assortment of ages from as young eight and to as old as sixty so there really is no specific age gap.
However for this documentary i would class the age group as young adults from ages eighteen to twenty five as "Martyr Defiled" are currently popular but not to lengths of being world known so this age group fits them perfectly as their music is quite dark and has some dark some lyrics along with some graphic music videos with some disturbing scenes.
Documentary Format 2 (Observational)
As the name states this type of documentary is used as a way to observe to others mainly used in documentaries about wild life or nature this documentary is used to inform and educated others about certain areas in the world.
They can be used to observe other subjects such as news or if told on correct way it can be used in the way of a social experiment
